Teddy fleece, but with cotton in the majority: 72% cotton against 28% polyester. That changes how it wears. A cotton-heavy pile holds its loft and stays dry against the skin, where an all-synthetic fleece goes slick and builds static. It carries more weight than a midlayer, which is why this one works as a jacket on its own.
Stone Island cuts outerwear with layering room built in, so your usual size should take a sweatshirt underneath without pulling. The hood closes with crossed webbing straps you can adjust, so it holds its shape rather than collapsing. Four pockets: two buttoned flap chest pockets and two zipped at the sides. Ribbed cuffs, straight hem, full zip. Green, from AW 2021.
