Where to find the ART number
Look at the wash label stitched into the inside left seam. The ART line sits between the size and the fabric composition. On pieces from the 80s and early 90s it can also turn up on a separate paper tag.
A missing or cut-out wash label doesn't automatically mean it's fake. It does make the piece harder to date, though.
